Description

1965 GTO PHS documented frame off rotisserie professional restoration, 4 speed tri power 389 ci painted original black with teal interior. This was a five year project that was completed in 2013. The car has been garaged since then and driven no more than 100 miles.

One of the finest and newest Pontiac GTO's for sale anywhere.

Attention to detail and quality was pursued throughout this restoration.

All body and paint work done at Ralph's Restorations in Columbia Falls Montana by Paul H., Ralph Sievers and Steve Bennett to make this car straight and beautiful.

Engine is a January, 1966 389 built by Friske's Machine works in Columbia Falls and assembled by Gary Sandefer who is a meticulous certified mechanic. Engine is bored 40 over with hardened seats in the heads with a mild cam added. We estimate the engine at over 400 HP but it has not been verified. The engine was run on a stand before installation and will require a normal break in as it has less than 100 miles on it. Tri power setup was done by Jim Coulson and is tuned to perfection. Cost for engine work was in excess of $5000.00.

Transmission is an M20 4 speed which was disassembled and inspected.

Rear end is an original posi with 370 gears.

All stainless was polished and restored to original condition. All new chrome drip rails were installed.

All chrome was done by Decorative Industrial Plating in Helena, Montana and is triple plate show chrome for $1500.00.

Paint on this car is Acrylic enamel and polished to a mirror shine.

All new interior and engine wiring with a new original fuse block from American Autowire.

New interior was completed by Lee Skinner, Columbia Falls, Montana which was provided through Ames performance and PUI interiors including all new weather stripping throughout the car.

New 15-inch tires mounted on American Racing wheels replace the original 14 inch.

New chrome wheel well moldings.

The radio is an original 1965 converted to AM/FM. Original two speaker system with new speakers.

Radiator is original upgrade to a copper 4 core by Joe's radiator in Kalispell Montana.

All new brakes and drums were installed with a new master cylinder. This is the original configuration.

New dual exhaust was installed by Country Muffler in Columbia Falls, Montana.

Alignment and front end work done by Kelly's Alignment of Columbia Falls Montana.

New gas tank and lines installed.

Correct T3 headlights.

New custom wood steering wheel.

Rally gauge package.

The tail panel and tail light bezels on this car were purchased from GTO goodies in Wyoming for $1700.00 as the old one was too pitted to use.

All other parts that were needed were purchased from Ames Performance for originality.

Pontiac GTO advice and assistance provided by Jerry Tennyson of Kalispell, Montana.

Photos by Ron Ridenour of Lake Five Resort West Glacier, Montana.

There is no aspect of this car that is not new or restored and originality was the key in this process.

PHS documentation is included.

The trunk floor was restored to the original condition.

Photos are available showing every phase of this project and all work can be verified by the professionals who assisted in the restoration of this beautiful muscle car.

This car was in dry storage for nearly 20 years before it was purchased for this restoration and has been garaged since. There is no dirt or road grime of any kind,
