Lexus introduced its all-new fifth generation ES 350 luxury sedan for 2007. A rich, contemporary look was introduced with its own interpretation of Lexus' new design language. The bold design emphasized a more dynamic and sculptural direction, revealing a strong family resemblance across the brand's entire sedan lineup.
The front-wheel drive ES 350 offers a significant step up in performance over the fourth-generation predecessor with a 272-horsepower 3.5-liter V-6 replacing a 218-horsepower 3.3-liter V-6, and an advanced new six-speed automatic transmission replacing the previous five-speed automatic. The 2008 Lexus ES 350 is certified to the Ultra-Low Emission Vehicle II (ULEV II) standard.
The interior features 10-way power seats, power tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel, SmartAccess with push-button start/stop and a multi-information display. The 2008 Lexus ES 350 offers a panoramic glass sunroof and a number of user technologies, as well.
Lexus' focus on safety for the ES 350 includes standard Vehicle Stability Control, eight standard airbags, and the optional pre-collision system that can help reduce collision damage. The 2008 vehicles provide revised outside rearview mirrors with integrated turn signals and two rear seat personal overhead lamps.
