Nissan's Pathfinder has stood out for the last 22 years, as an innovative, rugged Sport Utility Vehicle capable of handling adventures both on and off-road.
For 2008, that capability reaches a new level with an available 5.6-liter V-8 rated at 300-plus horsepower and 380-plus lb.-ft. of torque -- the first time a V8 has ever been offered in Pathfinder. The new V-8 engine is offered in addition to the standard 4.0-liter V-6 engine. Both engines are available with 2-wheel or one of several 4-wheel drive systems.
Pathfinder receives other updates and improvements for 2008, including new front and rear styling, redesigned center console area, reclining second row seat center section, new illuminated switchgear (except S-V6) and new trim packages.
Both engines mate to an electronically controlled five-speed automatic transmission, specially tuned for each engine application, featuring a wide gear ratio spread for maximum acceleration performance and Direct Control System for smooth shift quality.
The 2008 Pathfinder comes in a choice of six models: S-V6, SE-V6, SE-V8, SE-V6 Off-Road, LE-V6 and LE-V8. Every model comes complete with standard three-row seating, electronically controlled automatic transmission, full-size spare tire and remote keyless entry.
