The 2018 Kia Optima is a popular midsize sedan that offers European styling, a refined premium interior and confident ride and handling.

The 2018 Optima focuses on intelligent technology to deliver a host of comprehensive driver assistance systems and convenience features including standard UVO eServices, Blind Spot Detection, Rear Cross Traffic Alert and Rear Parking Assist System across all trim levels.

There is a new 2018 Optima S trim, a sport model which includes a sport front bumper, rear spoiler, 17-inch alloy wheels, LED fog lights and taillights, 10-way power driver seat and an optional panoramic sunroof.

The Optima maintains its athletic identity and rides on a chassis that is longer, wider and stiffer for improved ride and handling and a more spacious cabin.

The Optima's roomy, luxurious cabin features an impressive level of craftsmanship that is standard across five trim levels -- LX, LX Turbo, EX, SX Turbo and SXL.

Sweeping contemporary surfaces and modern architecture inspired the design of the Optima, revealing a sophisticated and dynamic sedan that is instantly recognizable yet has more road presence than ever.

Optima's luxurious interior is crafted with an impressive attention to detail and features real stitching along the dash and doors, complimented by tasteful metallic accents, varying by trim level.

Powerplants are the 2.4-liter GDI four-cylinder that produces 185 horsepower and 178 lb.-ft. of torque. The 2.0-liter turbo generates approximately 247 horsepower and 260 lb.-ft. of torque. Both engines are mated to a six-speed automatic transmission with Sportmatic shifting.

The Optima has a 1.6-liter four-cylinder turbo engine. Pushing out 178 horsepower and a stout 195 lb.-ft. of torque, the engine mates to a seven-speed DCT. The transmission optimizes the engine's responsiveness for a sporty feel.
