The 2014 Subaru Legacy is powered by either a 3.6-liter H6 or an efficient 2.5-liter 4-cylinder powertrain.
The Legacy features sporty styling in the headlights, grille and front bumper.
The 2014 Legacy 2.5i models feature a double-overhead-cam FB series 2.5-liter Boxer engine for increased performance and fuel efficiency. The engine produces 173 horsepower and 174 lb.-ft. of torque. The Legacy 2.5i offers a choice between a standard 6-speed manual transmission and the second-generation Lineartronic CVT.
The 2014 Legacy 3.6R continues with a 256-horsepower 3.6-liter 6-cylinder Boxer engine and 5-speed electronically controlled automatic transmission. A downshift "blipping" feature adds a sporty feel when using the Legacy 3.6R steering wheel paddle shifters.
Subaru's body structure, suspension and steering give the Legacy a smooth and quiet ride while also delivering fine handling agility.
For 2014, Subaru's EyeSight driver assistance system is now optional on 2.5i Premium model; previously available only for Limited. EyeSight integrates Adaptive Cruise Control, Pre-Collision Braking and Vehicle Lane Departure Warning.
Adaptive control is standard on all 2014 CVT-transmission models. Based on vehicle inputs received by the transmission control module, pulley gear ratios are always optimized based on driving preferences and road conditions.
A new Alloy Wheel Package for the Legacy 2.5i includes 17-inch alloy wheels, 215/50 R17 all-season tires and foglights with chrome trim rings. Rear vision camera is included with Power Moonroof Package on Premium and Limited models.
The popular Legacy Sport now offers optional integrated navigation system, while the Aha Infotainment smartphone integration is included with the optional navigation system.
