The Lincoln MKZ comes to market with more standard features for the 2008 model year. First among them, Lincoln Sync, is new throughout Ford Motor Company's line up. The voice-activated hands-free in-car communications and entertainment system was developed in collaboration with Microsoft.
Lincoln Sync fully integrates mobile phones and media players into the vehicle using Bluetooth technology and USB connectivity. It also gives you voice control over cellular phones and iPod-type MP3 players.
Lincoln's lauded THX-II audio system returns for 2008 in the MKZ. THX-II brings the home theater surround sound experience to the road. The system also features a fast-loading six-disc changer that reads CDs in normal audio, MP3 or text formats. Now delivered with SIRIUS Satellite Radio as standard equipment, the 2008 MKZ communications and entertainment horizons are considerably expanded.
The MKZ's new Reverse Sensing System assists drivers with rear parking by providing an audible gauge of distance from approaching objects. Meanwhile the premium leather heated and cooled seats simultaneously advance comfort and the interior ambiance.
Four new exterior colors -- Dark Blue Ink Clearcoat Metallic, Moss Green Clearcoat Metallic, Vapor Silver Clearcoat Metallic and White Suede Clearcoat -- round out the list of new features on the 2008 Lincoln MKZ.
