The 2014 Nissan Altima is offered in seven well-equipped models to meet a range of customer needs and budgets: Altima 2.5, 2.5 S, 2.5 SV, 2.5 SL, 3.5 S, 3.5 SV and 3.5 SL.
Redesigned inside and out for the 2013 model year, the fifth-generation Nissan Altima offers a number of significant enhancements for 2014.
Altima is leading the expansion of NissanConnectSM connected car services with NissanConnectSM Apps, a global smartphone integration platform that includes in-vehicle smartphone integration for Android and iPhone operating systems. NissanConnectSM Apps allows Altima owners to stay connected to their digital lives, even when in the vehicle. Apps include Online Search powered by Google, Pandora and Facebook.
Other Altima enhancements for 2014 include a range of refinements, such as upgraded seating materials and improved quietness and comfort. A new Sport Value Package with 16-inch aluminum-alloy wheels, remote engine start and trunk lid spoiler (2.5 S models) is added, along with expanded availability of the Technology Package (2.5 SV and 3.5 SV grades).
Altima's many attributes include outstanding fuel economy of 38 mpg highway, premium exterior styling with a strong presence and excellent aerodynamics, an upscale interior with premium materials, and an outstanding balance of ride comfort, stability and a fun-to-drive demeanor.
Altima's dynamic performance is provided by a choice of a 182-horsepower 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine or 270-horsepower 3.5-liter V6, with both engines matched with a smooth, efficient Xtronic Continuously Variable Transmission. The 4-wheel independent suspension features segment-first Active Understeer Control for refined feel and responsive handling.
